Yesterday is when it started.

I can't modify and reload my UI without getting a client crash. Then upon logging back in after it syncs it crashes until I put the UI back the way it was.

I can't even change to the default UI without it crashing and requiring me to go through the process of deleting char files, eqclient.ini etc.

Any help would be appreciated. The only thing I've done is install a Saitek Cyborg keyboard and it's supporting software.

This affects any character on the account if I try to change the UI.

This seems to affect eqlive files only. I can reload the UI on test without a problem.

This is what it looks like now and apparently, without having to redo all my settings, forever.

The strange thing is that it works on Test ...
Shouldn't be anything that would keep it from working on Live.

Have you tried editing the files manually instead of using /loadskin to change the UI?

Yes, I have and as soon as I go into the loading screen and choose Malbro or any of them it causes a client crash.

I'm to the point of thinking I'm going to have to delete eqclient.ini and let it patch a new one and then manually redo all my settings.

Okay, have you uninstalled the keyboard software that you recently installed, to see if that affects it?

Those are normal when a custom UI doesn't have all of those files present in the directory, so it uses the defaults for those.
I don't see anything to indicate an issue with the UI files that are loading, and the fact that they ARE loading ...

I'm stumped.

That's the problem Tan, if it makes a call to the default stuff it crashes.

I haven't tried moving the equi_animation.xml file to the custom directory, but then I shouldn't have to.

Only other thing that I can think of is.... being accepted and moving Mal and Deka over to beta.

okay, then have you tried removing all of the files from the customui directory?

or repatching the default UI files (by deleting them)?

Haven't tried that, patching default. Tried renaming the custom directory and it crashed the client trying to load default.

deleting eqclient and char files, it loads just fine.

I found a supposed fix and mailed it to you. I'd link it here, but don't know how.

Since the last patch, 9-03-08, that problem is now history.

Now when I try to change the color of the little line that indicates tenths of a percent increases it dumps me to the default.

I can change the font size with no problems but not the colors.
