i still have no idea how vox could have come to attack all of you jsut becuase i was never in her room nor did i click on her door and just nearby on the ramps. by the time i was poofed was cuz i was in the middle of buffing g1 in the main room.. maybe cuz i was in raid along with you, saw that i was at the ramps before her room looking for mobs and said hey there is a chanter here! those are easy to kill off lets go after its raid /shrug it was a fun attempt none the less but im sreriously gonna have to try running around that area again and see what the range is that she would not be happy to have me there .. btw about the pets.. that happened on one of the dragon attempts when killing the swamp dragon for brd epic 1.5.. it oculd be that sarth became in close enough range to aggro vox and she can have a huge range for her aoe?uz i was getting the you resist vox breath or whatever its called while sitting in main room.. that could have caused the pets to attack

When I go to pull from Vox's room I don't always have to open the door to get agro. I can get agro on the whole room from about ten feet from her door/rock and in the ten times or so I have pulled to split in the last month about half the time I have been able to get agro by just standing there for a few seconds. The other times I have had to open the door and initiate agro a little more aggresively.
I have learned from this that when I fd successfully, but don't get a good split when pulling Vox room, I need to stay down until I get the "your enemies have forgotten you message" and let my aggro in the zone reset. I think what happened the second time we wiped was I initially succeeded at fd, but all the giants left at the same time. I popped back up to get agro again and fd'd a second time. I thought I had two giants by themselves, but Vox was 'somehow' still aggro, or just lag jumping to spawn on me visually, anyway she was still there. Immediately after I called for a tag, she popped on top of me and cast aoe bad stuff. I am pretty sure that is when she hit your pets. I don't think there is a safer spot to split closer to Vox's spawn point as I need to be sure Vox doesn't agro the tag. If I agro Vox (and I have to) and she makes it to my split spot (which on occasion she will), she WILL aoe, and everyone needs to be sure to stay out of its huge range. Might want to have pets camp the king room between pulls.

I think we need to keep pets, (and everyone else for that matter) back farther, and that it may take some time between successful pulls to split the mobs in vox's room. I can be rezzed, ready, and retrying in about three minutes, total wipes take about ten minutes with a camped cleric, and half an hour without. If anyone has some advice or a link to a guide with more help on this that hasn't been posted please feel free to post it. I love help, and look forward to the challenge again.


We'll try again next week, it will get easier with practice.

Perhaps, before next week, someone new can step up and act as raid leader? I like running (and hunting in) rigidly strict raids, but I was having those twinges of frustration last night as everything seemed to go wrong. Who wants a go at being raid leader next time?

In addition, our continual 10-12 person attendance is frustrating, because that's about the MINIMUM needed to do this (with luck). What can we do to get our numbers up to 18 or so? My gosh, we had over 30 DH's registered at one time!

I believe because you were in the raid Vox decided to show her displeasure with your intrusion by punishing the other raid members.

If a person in a group get aggro then all in the group has the aggro. It must work the same with a raid.

As you sit in the main pull room and you are facing that big gate, there is a nook to the left that would put you Farther away from the Vox pull spot, but that still has direct easy access to the Pull room for the kill. Perhaps the raid could Wait in that little nook and come out to the main pull room when the incomming call is made.

Seemed to me that we may have been able to split/tag the giants better if maybe Sar FDed more than once on the way back to me with the pull. From my angle, the giants appeared to just stay together and with the large aggro area, splitting them was gonna be a miracle.

Being the MT for something this big was a new experience for me and I'm a little surprised at how long I lasted with Vox and her friends smacking me around. I'm going to switch Meg to just AA exp for now so I can continue to use her for DH nights (plus I'll look for some more armor upgrades). I'm so used to evading and NOT getting hit!

I did have the distinction of being killed by both Vox and Naggy last night. I joined the raid on Naggy that MotBF was doing. Let me say this, our raid was much much better. First, we only had 13 peeps and many of them in their low 40s (and a couple 30s), and a lot of first timers. They had the way cleared back to that same corner we set up in, but then, despite my urging, they walked the entire party right up the door, aggroed the whole room, and well, you know the drill. After getting killed during my rez twice, we called it a night with Naggy camped out in the Bat room.

If any of you want to do some adventures with your DH characters to collect some augments and maybe get some armor drops, let me know.

I'd be willing to try leading one of these raids but want 1 or 2 more under my belt first.
