Did you record the LOC, Min? I don't know what the "building near zone in" is, even
in looking at the map.

Aaarg! Finally found Kirn...I was in the right building, wrong room....but when
I did the turn in, he just took my icon, didn't say the right words and didn't
re-spawn as his aggressive form!

I issued a bug report, but...no GM's were on....sigh....so frustrating.

Oh no. That is so frustrating. I feel sure you'll get it back, though. In my experience GMs are pretty good about things like that.

Will be going back tonight to see if my bug request is being addressed. If so,

Bug request NOT fixed...I resubmitted under both Drexx and Druul.

Logged in as Drex first, saw nothing, submitted bug report....
Logged in as Druul, still nothing, and Kirn was still there, unchanged, and I still had
lost the icon. Oh, then I got attacked by a roaming mob and was killed so my
camping at Kirn is now busted. And still, after waiting 3 hours, no GM answered
my bug request.

This was how my last "quitting EQ" thought process occurred....I'm paying for
this game, and the service is in the toilet.

D'oh...just realized that what I REALLY should have
submitted isn't just a /bug report, but a /petition.
Those, apparently get a GM's attention...

Yes, Drex, do a petition. You'll be able to track it on the SoE site and see what progress is being made. You should get an almost immediate response once you submit it, just a brief email stating they're looking into it and they'll get back with you.

I'm curious how they'll fix this...seeing as how I logged in to check on things and promptly got myself
whacked by a roaming mob. Will they reset Kirn and port me and all of my potential groupies into
that room, or will I have to run into the Hole and get to Kirn again? Or will they just give me the
loot from Kirn and skip the fight....

All very intriguing questions...

If it's resolved like in the past, you'll get an email telling you the piece has been restored to you, and when you log on it will be in your inventory. You don't have to be in game for it to be returned to you.

Ah, so you think that the turn-in item will be restored? That means
I'll have to go back to Kirn (a pain), and do the turn in again,
hoping that it's not bugged this time around?

Or do you think they'll give me the loot item that I would've
gotten from Kirn?

The former seems more likely, but more frustrating, especially
if they haven't finished debugging the turn-in sequence...
