I have just received an exciting acknowledgement of my writing, specifically my novel Witchcanery. I knew about it for a while but it was just made official today so I can tell people.

I was on The Author Show last August, interviewed by Don McCauley. As a result I was invited to submit my particulars for a chance to be chosen one of the lucky 50 writers in their proposed book. They liked what I submitted. I was advised today that I now have the right to say:

"SANDRA BELL KIRCHMAN has been selected to appear in the forthcoming book, 50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading, available Summer 2010."

I'm very happy and a little teary about this honor. I wanted to share it with you all.

Note: It never rains but it pours. I also came in second in the Saskatchewan Newspaper Association annual awards for the best health article in the province...it was a somewhat humorous and totally heartfelt three-part look at sleep apnea and how I came to terms with it. I didn't enter the article; my former editor did without me knowing about it. She wanted to surprise me with a win. Second is very acceptable!
