Wayfarers of Veeshan

I'm currently having issues running Kahzbot, but all my other characters are just fine.

Sometimes he crashes when loading and sometimes he'll load and crash doing something or nothing at all. When this happens I get a message that certain referenced memory could not be read. Any ideas what could be causing this and more imprtantly, how to fix it?

So this only happens with Kahzbot, and never with Kahmon? Sounds to me like one of the files specific to that character is corrupt. You might want to try moving any files specific to him to a temp directory and then relaunching. Basically any file that has his name as part of the filename. If you still have the issue then you can move the files back and at least know that's not the cause.

And just curious what OS are you running, are you running EQ in some kind of compatibility mode, as administrator, etc?

Well, the good news is that Kahzbot seems to be running fine again. The really bad news is that now Big Kah is having problems.

Merl, I'm stuck with Vista, which requires you to run as Admin.

You might want to try running EQ in XP compatibility mode. Assuming you launch EQ through a desktop shortcut, right click that shortcut and choose properties, then the compatibility tab, then click the checkbox saying "run this program in compatibility mode for:" and choose windows XP Service Pack 2 from the dropdown. Hit apply, ok, and then launch EQ with that shortcut.
