Many players talk about where they will camp for the last time when they leave EQ, and I am among those who have given it much thought. When I camp my 3 active characters for the last time on Saturday, I would like there to be some kind of significance or meaning behind them.

I decided years ago that Kahmon would end up on the 8th island of Plane fo Sky based on about the zone.

Vektor was created the same night as Orionpax, so that I would have a toon around the same level to help him into EQ. However, it didn't take OP long to level on his own and be able to group with Kahmon, leaving Vektor without a purpose. Long time wayfarers may remember the first time Vektor was "retired" to Kedge Keep. His job there was to keep on Phinney watch so that any time he was up, I would call in the troops and hopefully advance someone on their epic. Eventually the need was gone, and Vektor dried off in order to eventually someday become a Dragon Hunter. While his adventures took him off track, he eventually fulfilled his destiny in a big way.

While Vox and Naggy have no innate foes for Vektor to align with, the dragons of Velious are at war with the giants of Kael. While big and little Kah are in the good graces of the Claws of Veeshan, Vektor is the only toon I have which can safely wander around Kael as an ally. As such, Vektor will be ending his path on the throne of King Tormax, symbolic of being the true king of killing Dragons.

Kahzbot is the one I am unsure of and open to suggestions. Kahzbot was made so that I would have a Tinkerer available to me full time. Eventually this expanded to Spell Research as well, and Kahz even reached 300 in Gnomish Smithing and Tailoring. While kahzbot did get to have a few adventures, his main focus was always to be a tradeskill bot. He's missing lots of spells, but he can imbue any metal, and can make all the PoP imbued diamonds (even Torment).

Some ideas I have had on where to end his journey:
1)Shadow Haven casino
2)Next to King Ak'anon (either of them)
3)The Erudin library.
4)cast Iksar illusion and camp in Cabilis

And I am open to better suggestions since nothing really screams perfect for him.

I've never been in the Shadow Haven casino, don't even know where to find it. Unless Kahzbot spent a lot of his hard-earned plat there (or better yet, won some), the Erudin library seems like a fitting camp-out spot.

with kahzbot starting out as a TS mule my suggestion would be the abysmal sea aboard the queen of thorns or if want to symbolize the more original TS quests then where the coldain shawl quest starts(i say original cause it was the first real quest i remember that focused on tradeskills)

There is always Ot with all the gnome robot tradeskill merchants... just a thought or could be like a friend of mine and possibly talk to gms about retireing him completely and have him as a merchant or some sorts in Akkanon( friend had his warrior retired and can now be found as a guard in ogre town).

My first thought, when you said nothing screamed out at you to where Kahzbot might camp for his last time....I thought of the "Guild Hall". That's about the only place I ever saw him, doing his work for WoV :!: ......was always nice when he popped in to do his work.......he would forever be near us in spirit .........we could always think about you ....and wonder from time to time....was that (edited) Magikahmon that just ran by me going about his duties....naw couln't have been :( .....or was it . :grin: .

I have always associated Kahzbot with tinkering first and foremost....if you have them, I would
first equip Kahzbot with the following items:

Chest:
Secondary:
Range:

Primary:
or, if you have it, the more hardcore old timers tinkering toy:


As to the place, I am torn between Ak'Anon and Plane of Innovation. I think that Ak'Anon more appropriately
represents both the heart of tinkering as well as being one of the original EQ zones, which speaks to your
long term involvement in the game. I like Ak'Anon's throne, but thought that the "Library Mechanamagica"
speaks to Kahzbot better, being both a tinkering and spellcasting center of knowledge.
