Wayfarers of Veeshan

Hello all i am hopeing someone can help me i was having some issues the other nite with my connection as some of you know and now it seems its even worse then it was then.My old computer will still open a few web pages it wont work or run Eq and im going insane atm. I keep getting a message saying limited or no connectivity. My new computer will not connect at all. Which i am sending packets but not recieving anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know it is probly something extremely simple i had this issue before and for the life of me i cant recall what i did.

My first thought is that you have a firewall issue. Do you use ZoneAlarm?

I'm sure some of the experts in our guild will have better, more complete answers for you.

Possibly your ISP is blocking the ports that EQ uses? If you have a router, it might be doing it also.

Could be firewall also. I know ZoneAlarm will prompt you if a program changes so you can let it have access to the net.

Well acctually i got it kinda working better. But atm i wam watching my mothers house while she is away on vacation and that is the problem i adjust everything to her Isp and that is where im getting the limited or no connection problem sorry for not clairifiing that and i have check firewall issues and didnt seem that was the issue..

Well i tried everything that i could think of and my hard drive still is getting limited connectivity message. Guess that means no eq for me till next weds when she gets home

"limited or no connectivity" usually means that the computer was not able to secure a DHCP lease although it is configured to request one. Make sure that the internet router is configured to hand out DHCP leases *or* if the environment is statically configured you'll need to set up your computer with an appropriate ip address/subnet mask/gateway/dns server.

i have had this problem twice before first time i had it i needed to reset my router the 2nd time i had it my cat6 cable was busted

thanks for help with this issue all it has been resolved. after the 4th time reseting router and a few profanities
