Now that Mercs are in the game, I'd like to resurrect this idea.

If there is anyone willing to stand toe-to-toe with Sirran the Lunatic in Sky (including
using Cleric and/or Warrior Mercenaries, which I'd pay for) and kill the little bugger, effectively risking a
lifelong KoS status for that one character in Plane of Sky afterward, please let me know. It's for the
sake of science and research

As far as I know Haams has no more quests involving PoSky anymore. I see no harm in him possibly being banned from the zone. Maybe not banned, but kos anyway.

I'll do it. I'll box it out sometime today/tonight and let you know about the faction hit and whether I was able to bonk him.

Wow...ok Snoogi, if you're gonna do it that fast, then please do it this way:

1) Make sure "/log on" so you capture everything said and ESPECIALLY what the "faction hit" message is.

2) Go to island 1. Do a /con on all the denizens of island 1, as a control dataset.

3) Kill Thunder Spirit Princess, wait for Sirran to pop.

4) "/con" Sirran, for control.

5) Whack Sirran. (Enjoy). Make sure to note any faction hit message.

6) Do a bunch of /cons again on the remaining mobs on island 1...see if you are KOS to them now.

7) Report back, and post the "log".

Thanks for volunteering.

I can attest for a fact that there is NO faction hit for killing Sirran. I killed him last month. No log though, so if you are wanting that, then it needs to be re-done of course.

Hmmmm....interesting. Is it "no faction hit" or "no noticeable faction hit"? Do you recall specifically
not seeing a faction message?

Either way, I'm still looking for a complete log of the event, so I'd like to see Snoogi try this
just for completeness sake.

Eeeewwww - Okay - Killing Key Master does get a faction hit.

One new thing in Sky (I think) is that I can no longer use Swarm of Decay, Wake the Dead or Army of Dead. Could have sworn that they were usable before. Might have been part of the skill revamp in the recent patch...though I have no idea how it could have effected the game balance in Plane of Sky.

Not trying to get off topic. Just an observation while looking around with Snoogi just now.

Will have to wait until later, island cleared and Sirran dead. Though if you check his info page on Alla's it indicates there's no faction message as well.

Heck, if you're up there and island 1 is clear, go ahead and try island 1.5 or 3 ... being the only three islands where you don't have to take a Deathtouch to get Sirran and can still leave up normally non-aggro mobs to check their post-sirran-kill aggro.

What was the message from killing the Key Master? Did it reduce your faction with other normally non-aggro critters (like islands 1.5, 3 or 4?).

The horse on the 4th island for a JP quest used to have a faction hit too, but I believe that was removed. I'm app to mobs that I would otherwise be indif to because of it.
