Not sure he's the first, but a guy on Cazic Thule dinged 85 at 3 am eastern this morning.

It amazes me somebody could level that fast in just over 12 hours. It took me 2 hours to get 4 blue into 81.

I was amazed that there were level 82s in game last night.

One 85 showing on Luclin already too. There are some tricks used to get a jump start on leveling.

One is to create several corpses 2:55 before you camp prior to the expansion and then XP back to full. When you log in, you pop Expediant recovery and all the XP on corpses pushes you into new levels.
Another is to fill your tasks list with tasks that give good XP and get them all to the very last step which is usually a hail or a hand in. When you log in, you just do those last steps and get fast XP.
Many people also save any XP pots they get until level caps go up instead of using them right away towards AAs.

I did a bunch of quests and didnt finish the reward part until last night... got a whole 10% into 81. :/
But yeah, some of these guys are just insane. Popping exp pots and chain pulling in upper ended zones. Grats, 1 day in they hit the wall.

I have been having fun exploring (Kaesora Library is incredible!), and been camping a bit in Field of Scale. Got a couple nice items in the 500 hp/mana range, and had one rot last night cause there were no war/rog/mnk/ber online. d'oh!

Gonna start focusing on getting some faction done soon, so can get rank 2 spells and items. The Oceangreen Hills/Village quests are pretty easy, most can be done with 2-3 players if you are about 80. I love the merc too, it isn't perfect but very very useful. Which is how it should be.

Kahmon, I found that list of level-up tricks interesting! I suppose if leveling is someone's
goal, nothing will stop them. Certain "fun" in saying "first!".

I love exploring and trying out the new quests (and I hate grinding myself) So if anyone needs a cleric , or wants a cleric to tag along, give me a shout. (I could probably also drag Reverage along too once we get settled; he does prefer to grind. )

Very nice augment award as a result of doing all the Oceangreen tier tasks. Fits in shield slot too, woooooooo!

Full writeup here, it can be done solo/duo with a merc for many classes. Might need a couple friends for a couple quests, but overall pretty easy for the reward. Plus, finishing progression opens up new items/spells on the faction vendor, so very worth doing.
