Wayfarers of Veeshan

I wish I had thought to post this on Friday, before Ami and I went out of town; but, to all of our friends down in Texas: our thoughts and prayers are with you while you recover from hurricane Ike. We hope that all of you who were in the path of the storm are safe.

This weekend we stayed with Ami's grandparents in New Jersey (safely out of the way of the hurricane, lol) but we were watching it closely: Ami has some family who live on Galveston Island. They haven't seen their house yet, but doubt that it's still standing. They're all out safely, though.

I also ask that if any of you are in touch with other Texan folks who may not visit this board (like Legeran, Reviloyar, etc) please pass on our best wishes to them, too.

I know that Dorann, Leg and Rev survived just fine without even a power outage. Tanliel, further south, was also okay. Jugghead (in Houston) hasn't been on, and Rhenn/Darcaster lost power on Saturday. Evirting also lost power. Loull (in Louisiana) missed the worst part of the storm. Winde was having some power issues too.

Thanks for thinking about us. I hope to hear status updates on all our Texans before the day's over.

Great! I'm glad to hear that so many of you are doing well. I'll check back to this thread later to see if you have any updates on the rest of Team Texas, hehe.

Awesome to hear everyone pulled through ok!!! FYI, the agency where
I work does post-storm imagery to assist people see and assess damage
to their homes.

I got POWER ........and on a sober note I hope I never have to go thru anything like that again...and it was just a tropical storm when it reached me......I know people in Houston/Galveston area were scared.
We had a huge tree go down accross the street from us...sounded like an explosion....took our power lines down with it ......................other than debris every where we did better than some others.....ty guys for ur thoughts and prayers

Lots of rain but no killer fogs. Last time I saw a killer fog it was in California, in the movie The Fog with Adrianne Barbeau

Earthquakes; fun. I'm glad we don't really get those over here on the East Coast. There have actually been several seismic events here during my lifetime, including one that knocked things down that I can remember, but I think you guys in CA and such would make fun of me if I called them "earthquakes" lol.

The rain in the North West seems like it's not so bad, once you get used to not seeing the sun anymore. My cousin and her husband live in Seattle; they have deathly pallors and burn quickly when they visit the rest of the family in MD. hehe

We made it pretty well....favor of God totally on our house. We had electricity through the storm, so we played host to many family and friends for food, A/C, power, and showers. I am so thankful to God that the folks here are ok. I may not play much anymore, but I still consider you family

Actually i did not lose power just the internrt asntennsablew down on Sat and they didnt grt it fixed til Monday. losing power would have been no problem as my brother would have just hooked the generator on his welding machine to house
