Vivox is doing all of the voice chat integration in the Station applications.

At present, EQ, EQ2, and Star Wars Galaxies all have the Vivox voice chat app.

Yep, it's live.

It's live in EQ2 as well, and I have to say it's freaking awesome. Helps when Ami and I are playing in different parts of the house and she wants me to go get something for her. Less yelling IRL hehe.

I think it's pretty cool to hear people from th guild and other friends. and it cuts down in RL if your in Sepreate rooms.

hummm I must have missed the discussion on this... was this recently introduced during my away time from the game? Does it cost anything or is it part of a patch?

It was introduced in the last big patch. It's integrated into the game, for free. All you have to do to utilize it is have speakers and a mic. And if you don't have a mic you can still listen in. You have to choose your channels: you can be in guild chat, group chat, or raid chat. I think they're working toward other channels but it's not live yet.
