Ok so I get on a friends computer and say.... Let me show you how it's done !

I run out with his level 5 monk and pull a skeleton in freeport... Now I tell him " The art is to attack , bob weave and... ummmm why are you not attacking? Something is wrong with your keyboard...."

After popping at the bind spot... I realize....

Duh...

They changed the default attack key because of all the accidental deaths at the hands of NPCs when trying to talk to them. People would start typing without being in /SAY and once they hit the A key... SPLAT.

The default attack key is now the Q... On my accounts I have re-assigned the key to be the old faithful A(ttack) key and forgot it was different by default.

What other little things have changed that make you go Duh..... ?

lol .. oh mego sounds like you h ad quite the adventure there i cant really think of anythign its been so long since any changes were made to teh keys..

Heres another DUH.....

Doing the halloween quest I decided 3 boxing a druid to port my 2 boxes around would be a great thing... So I dug out Tedie's druid for ports...

I have not played a druid in.... 2 years....

So.... off to Iceclad.... or so I thought....

Seems I forgot there was a SINGLE port and a GROUP port.... lol

I played a druid as my main until Mal was up in his 50s / 60s and I have done that a few times.

I think the most embarassing thing was when I got smart and decided to port for money... This is back when people were in Firona Vie a lot... trade skills , spells, banking...etc...

I was in FV and shouted PORTING FOR CASH!

I had a high level 50 say he would pay to go to butcherblock. (WOOT CASH!)

Off I went...... when I popped.... I was alone... he sent a tell saying... the cash only applies if I take him with me...

(Another self port instead of group)

Of course rooting / snaring myself when trying to SoW is another story

Lol! The first thing I did when I got wolf form was cast it on myself, of course. Unfortunately I was in the city where I spent most of my time - FV. The drixies made short work of me. :/

LOL I remember getting pounded for that.... and had no idea why...lol

I remember when I first played EQ I had a paladin as my main and I used to Lay Hands on the mob ALL the time instead of switching targets. Duh... or maybe D'oh!

The order of events:
1) Necromancer haughtilly and with words of disdain refuses such piddly mana-regens as KEI
2) Necromancer puts on some variety of LICH
3) Necromancer goes on bio
4) Necromancer comes back from bio to see "Returning to Bind Point"
5) Sheepishly, Necromancer apologizes for not watching their own health bar closely
