After stating that I'd bought the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's CD based on , I discovered that I hated the rest of the tracks and I gave the CD away.

Therefore, please list your favorite holiday/Christmas/seasonal music here and say why you like it.

This can be an album review, a sentimental favorite, a song that brings back memories . . . whatever you want to share.

My favorite Christmas music is a CD from a little-known artist named Jo Davidson. Her Christmas CD, , is a compilation of carols played on the piano. It's traditional but with a little twist. I highly recommend it.

Ella Fitzgerald has a great one, and there's a compilation (I forget the name) that we have with songs from Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington and a lot more. If you're interested in this sort of thing I'll get the title for you when we dig out our Christmas CDs.

well i liked vanessa williams reinditions and natalie cole has a good one as well.. i like warm jazz stuff .. also i love choral ensembles but havent found a noteworthy one imo for xmas yet but im still looking.. hav eyou tried going onto itunes and looking there alley?

No, I haven't. I think I'm music'd up for this year. I have several others that I really like, plus Handel's Messiah, which I can't get enough of ever.

Alley, I can't believe that upon hearing the name "Burl Ives" that the first thing you thought of wasn't Xmas music. It's about all I associate him with, due to the claymation Xmas specials. :)
