ok last time we learned alot and got refreshed on alot of other things. lets make the run again on sunday dec 11th at 3pm est and work on getting the spiroc to cycle until we get that item for haammy!

Might I suggest we INSIST on running to Island 5 and necro-cohing anyone who isn't keyed there? That way we can do the Spiroc Lord and (time permitting) push on to higher islands? Getting the earlier keys is easy and skippable by those non-keyed. It's the later keys that we're all mostly lacking.

STRATEGY FOR ISLAND 5: (Thanks to Kahmon)

DO NOT KILL "SPIROC GUARDIAN" UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES (until Haams has his drop from the Spiroc Lord)

1) Get to Sky...those not keyed duel and die. SYNCHRONIZE deaths to within a few seconds of each other for ease of timing the necro-CoHs. Then those keyed to 5 go inviso and get to Island 5.

2) Get to SW corner of Island 5.

3) Necro-CoH those who died in duels. (Do this within 10 minutes of the deaths)

4) Using Pacify on the Lord (and Guardian if necessary) pull...6 or 9 mobs. Kill the Vanquishers first during a pull (3 total on island). This will prevent their associated trash mobs from respawning and will also allow us to get keyed to next island.

5) Eventually all that will be left is Spiroc Guardian and Spiroc Lord. Pull and Kill the Lord (pacify guardian as needed). If the drop isn't on the Lord, then let Sirran de-spawn (20+ minutes) and try again. The Lord will re-spawn as long as the Guardian is alive.

6) When Haams gets his drop from the Lord, do the turn in to Sirran for the key to Island 6. DO NOT MOVE TO ISLAND 6 UNTIL ALL ARE READY!
We should be able to leave the Guardian up on island 5.


STRATEGY PAST ISLAND 5:

When, that's a big ol' WHENwe succeed on 5 ... if we wish to go farther, there's a few things that need to be done if we want to "beat" the plane of sky.... This will be in my guide, but here it is in succint form:

On 5, loot "Noise Maker" (from Vanquishers) for "Key of the Swarm" (to 6)

On 6, loot "Dull Dragon Scale" (from anything) for "Key of Scale" (to 7)

BEFORE GOING TO ISLAND 7....
Have someone say to Sirran: "?llaw eht htiw eno I ma" (am I one with the wall?). [I need to double check this, as some posts say to say it forward, others backward]. This will spawn the boss on Island 7, Sister of the Spire.

On 7, loot "Replica of the Wyrm Queen" (from Heartsbane Drake) for "Veeshan's Key" to island 8 (Same name, but different Identify, as the quest room key)

On 8, there are 2 mobs...one that is automatically there (Eye of Veeshan, level 70) and one that must be spawned (Hand of Veeshan, level 63). Spawning the Hand is inconvenient, and I assume we wont' try it this time.

For information purposes, here's how to do the Hand, but I can't imagine we want to try this on this raid since the primary goal is Haams' epic drop on island 5 and everything else is gravy.

Here's how to spawn the Hand:
1) Kill Noble Dojorn on island 1.5 (usually skipped). This spawns "Overseer of Air" on island 4 (pegasi isle)
2) Kill Overseer of Air on island 4. This spawns Hand of Veeshan on island 8.

Soooooo.....the EASY thing to do is skip the whole "Hand of Veeshan" thing altogether and just try for island 8 and kill the Eye of Veeshan. (Otherwise we'd need to either go THRU island 1.5 first, and also do some killing on island 4 and then in addition to having wasted our time before getting to island 5 we will have put a 63 and a 70 mob on island 8 together which sounds a bit difficult when the ultimate goal of the raid really is Haams drop on island 5).
