I get the same message Orion and I choose continue anyway and I am able to log in and play.

I have a x600 pci express 6.14.10.6476. The recommend that I download 6575 version.

I have looked both on Acer's site, omega and ATI and cannot find anything with 6575 on it.

Mal, you have an OEM card. ATI isn't going to EVER show anything for it.

And if you click the link on the Omegadrivers site ...
Choose your card type (ATI), your Operating system (Win2K/XP) and then where to download the files.

Those were released 2 days ago, Oct 25, '05.

2.6.75a / Catalyst 5.10a = 6575

To explain a bit:
6575 is the end four numbers of the actual driver revision that you'll see in the Device Properties for the Driver itself. It is NOT usually what the video card company will call the release (ala Catalyst vXYZ), as that is the revision of their combined driver set release.

I know nothing about radeon as I've used Nvidia since I upgraded my old voodoo card

When I skip the video card message, I never get to the EULA screen. I just get an instantaneous error that eqgame.exe has crashed in some way. It's the same message I received when I first tried running EQ on my laptop, only when I tried fixing it the way I did before (by adjusting the settings from the Options Editor) it doesn't work This new UI skin is really messing me up. Why oh why did they have to create a new default skin? Why wouldn't people just try it if they wanted to?

Oh, and I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 notebook. I use a ATI Mobility Radeon x300 for a video card. And am using Windows XP - Pro. I went to the site to try to d/l the files, but maybe I'm just not getting the right ones.

i have that same card. the update yo uneed to get is not the 65 one. if you do eq wont load on your laptop =D

edit jsut read the whole thing let me ask my loving husband as he is the computer tech of the house and not me lol

I downloaded the Catalyst 5.10 drivers and installed them, then uninstalled and reinstalled them. Whenever I try to load up 2 accounts (loading 1 account works fine) 1 of the windows goes completely black or everything disappears except for the character at the selection screen and even then the character is bald. I also tried to reinstall Directx and didn't seem to make any progress there. Then I ran into a problem where everything I typed on the login screen was in upper case even with caps lock on or off and tried holding down the shift key but still no joy. I got so frustrated last night I had to just walk away from my computer. Not sure what else to try at the moment, if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate them. However I will be gone until 25th of November but as soon as I get back will start trying to figure this out.

I'm using a Radeon XTASY 9600XT 256mb video card.
