What does the GPW stand for? i.e. M38MBGPW. I assume the GP stands for General Purpose. "MB" and "W" I never saw before.

the MB-GPW was the pre-M38 model...if i recall correctly, the MB-GPW was the earlier model (early 1940's) made primarily by willys overland, while the M38 was later (mid-1940's) by willys-kaiser...the M38A1 was late 1940's up until the Ford 'mutt' model and it's varients came along (up through the vietnam era)

not sure what all the cryptic model desigs meant, tho...probly just sequential codes in some government system, rather than a real acronym

(i just now googled it...i made one error...it's designation is MB/GPW..not with a hyphen)

This was a good party...The food was great (I hadnt eaten all day), bar was open til 11 and the hired girls were good dancers and pretty cute

I'm back, had to cough up 25 bones for parking today, don't have to stand in any serious lines and I'm focused...The 'lewts' objective wasn't panning out, so I've made a shift in primaries...booth babes!

Also, I've been granted an audience with my hosts in the Nevrax booth in a few hours...I'll learn whats in store for Ryzom in the coming months, should be exciting



Yes, that's a tanker trailer full of geek fuel (some new mountain dew product) and the ice truck...I'm NOT standing in line today, or I'd try it

Nintendo has a ton of new stuff for the upcoming year...most of it is smaller and smaller, with one notable exception -



This attractive accessory comes tethered to a mini game console...She's currently in beta, but I'll be the first in line when it hits store shelves
Note the guy from Sony in the blue shirt, taking notes...I really thought they would release an accessory like this first, but I guess they were too busy with the 'chang3'

The guys from G4 (some kind of geek tv show) were there and sponsoring the first-aid station...too bad i couldnt get a zombie to attack me

These 2 guys and this statuesque beauty were at the party the night before...the helm she's wearing weighs about 20 lbs and made of real bronze

I know she didnt remember me from the evening before...I asked her if she'd mind a pic and afterwards she says in a softly assertive voice 'you must take one of these'...yes ma'am

The three of them (and others) do this every weekend, as I understand...like the midddle ages sca guys...I imagine it being a LOT more fun...romans knew how to party

hmm well i se an ongoing trend in those photos BTW G4 is a channel i think not a show but i could be wrong i remember seeing those folks before and i saw the review they had about e3 including the (dare i say it) NEW LEGEND OF ZELDA oh i cant wait for that . those tiny gameboys nintendo came out with runs just as the advanced and sp but they are smaller and they look so cute (i hope it comes in hot pink or some other cute color =P)

Good lord, this brings back memories of a decade of going to Gen Cons....nothing but geeks and hotties (who wouldn't be near a geek unless you paid them, which, obviously, a bunch of companies did )

I'm outraged, just appalled....for shame...the unconscionable use of women for such obviously patronizing capitalist manipulation <snicker>
