Wayfarers of Veeshan

A friend at work has heard me talk about EQ enough that she wants to see what it's like. What zones would be at the top of your lists to show someone? Think diversity, ingenuity, beauty . .

First place I will show her is Plane of Innovation; she is intrigued by the idea of a zone that looks like something out of Bladerunner.

For "flavor", I love Dulak's Harbor. Everything "fits" in its own ecosystem...there are dockworkers, pirates, ships, warehouse workers, and the wonderful little "ship bell" background sounds.

For beauty, you can do Lavastorm cuz of the revamp of course.

A city in general would be nice to show off, since that was everyone's pre-PoK base of operations. I still love Freeport even though it's not really home base anymore.

For wildlife, you might consider something with impressive looking mobs, like Great Divide with its giants and wurms.

I agree with Dulak...it's a game in and of itself. Qeynos wow'd me the first time I saw it (I had been playing about a month at the time). I don't know anything about the revamp to Lavastorm but the original Lavastorm was interesting to look at. Highhold Pass is kinda neat. Mistmoore (nice and "themey"). I'm drawing a blank as it's been a while...I'm sure there I will come up with more.

One of my favorites in the later days of my EQ life was that undead place off of Lake of Ill Omen (name escapes me). That dungeon was so much fun and so well put together. It just feels evil

Castle Mistmoore has also been through a revamp, Zbix. It may still be nice and themey but no one lives to tell about it. There are about five level 65 mobs at the entrance to the zone, waiting to pounce. Enter and die! Too bad - that would have been a good zone to show off.

even though you wouldnt kill anything in there plane of growth would be an ice place to visit i imagine.. also RCoD is nice stillmoon temple.. i saw photos of that place its absolutely beautiful

For a city I would say Kelethin, but then I'm biased
