Has anyone been watching the "Legend of Earthsea" mini-series on Sci-Fi? It began last night, and looks to have about 2-4 more nights left if they're going to cover the first 3 Earthsea books.

Anyway, it was pretty good at first, more-or-less staying true to the books (though juxtaposing the lead character's secret name, Ged, with his common name, Sparrowhawk). However, toward the end of the 2 hours it was really changing course from the books, much to my chagrin.

Anyway, definitely one of my favorite fantasy stories of all time (at least the first three books) and I was interested to see the way it was brought to life.

Yeah I have been waiting for it with baited breathe...I have not read the books, but the movie so far is pretty good. Too bad I have to work the next two nights and will miss it, but am sure it will be on this weekend.

okok.. if you don't still have VCR.. you definately have replaced it with a DVR or DVD-R hehe, or your cable company has On-Demand programming.. right?
