Sorry I had to log. Needed to bring some gasoline to my brother and help him get bike running. Maybe we can get rezzes on a few tomorrow?

Rez timers will be expired on all of them. Maybe we can loot bodies tomorrow night; if not we will have to wait until they pop in Shadowrest.

Looked on the Berserker board and it looks like the only ones to be able to do without trouble are time / GoD gear people. One person said his bunch took Ireblind down 3 times in one night.

One other post mentioned the only ones needing CRs were the lower level / non time - GoD geared people.

Ugh, that doesn't sound pleasant guys.

It's unfortunate that the implementation of things in Gates were all tied together so poorly. The zones were planned for level 70, some later encounters were tuned so that a berserker had to get the kill shot on a particular mob, and now it appears that the berserker epic requires you to be capable of being knee deep in Time/GoD zones ...

Sorry you guys got whacked like that.

All in all it is a very nasty mob. Level 65 and the AoE spell he casts brings friends to him.

This one had 4 essences of rage up with him and if one of those die it could spawn another ireblind type mob. Only good thing is they spawn an indifferent conning mob first. Don't know if it would join in or not.

WHAT AN ADVENTURE!

I'd like to thank Bten's RL wife Koranna for coming to help us. She went above and beyond the call of duty by leaving both a cleric AND a druid body in Fear. She also brought two of her guildmates from Custodi del Drago, Skrunch and Faeurn, who came to try to render aid to the fallen.

Tegin (who many may know as Notnilc) is another who tried to help us.

Many Wayfs lost level, and Vasilia got out of bed with 104 fever to try to help.

Everyone was very patient during this disaster, and I've never been more proud to be a Wayf. I'm sure some day - in the far, far distant future - we'll look back on this and laugh.

What an incredibly poor model for a god.

Fear is one of my favorite zones but the Ireblind Imp has to be one of the most unbalanced encounters I've ever come across. To make it virtually impossible to CR much less stage against is ridiculous. Count me in when we seek revenge.

For those who didn't experience this joy, it was something like:

4:00 Meet and buff
4:15 Enter Fear
4:16 Engaged Ireblind Imp*
4:17 Gain aggro on half dozen other mobs
4:25 Most everyone dead except a few clerics and paladins who gated or camped for rezzes

.......<insert plans A, B, C, Cprime, D, E, Eprime, Edoubleprime, ....and Z, involving one failed attempt after another to get the bodies together, and get people rezzed...MANY wayfarers end up with 2-5 corpses in the zone>.........

8:45 (notice time since Total Raid Wipeout): A friendly Bard attempted to mass aggro everything in zone...we all re-enter, head for our corpse pile, and most of us re-gain aggro and go down again without fully looting. The raid is called off.

Wow...unbelievable how impossible they've made corpse runs. If you read old posts about Fear (before the Berzerker epic guy) you have a clear idea that it's a tough zone, but nowhere at all near as bad as it was for us last night.

Count me in for a revenge attempt.

* Main tactic used by the Imp: AoE stun/mezz everyone in a HUGE HUGE radius for about 20 seconds, then when it wore off, he'd hit ya again about 10 seconds later. It seemed unresistable, and prevented any long casts (pets and such). Good news was that the Ireblind Imp *WAS* down to 50% when we all wiped.
