I thought it would be nicve to have a cooking section to trade out recipies and try out some new stuff. I'll Start


Adbondigas (spanish meatballs)

for the meat:
1 - 1 1/2 lbs ground chuck or sirloin(your preference)
garlic powder
salt
1 egg
craker crumbs

for the sauce
1/4 cup finely chopped garlic
1/4 cup finely chopped onions
1/4 cup finely chopped green peppers
1 cup tomato sauce(or paste)
1 tablespoons olive oil
2 cooking wine


instructions:


salt and garlic to tase the meat mix egg and a small amount of cracker crumbs(this holds it together) once done form meatballs about the size of an egg and set to the side

Combine the ingredients to sauce and bring to simmer in a pot. once simmers place meatball in and cook in medium heat about 10 minutes rotating the meatballs halfway through. **main point is to keep the pot covered during cooking to makesure you dont loss sauce**

Good idea.

My contribution:

Ricotta Spinach Pie

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

1 pie crust
1 T flour
3 T butter
1 medium onion, chopped fine
1-10 oz. package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. ground nutmeg
8 oz. mozzarella, grated
1-15 oz. container ricotta cheese
1 c. parmesan cheese
3 large eggs, beaten

Sprinkle flour over crust. Melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and sauté until tender (about 8 minutes). Mix in spinach, salt and nutmeg. Sauté until all liquid from spinach evaporates (about 3 minutes). Combine cheese in large bowl; add eggs and spinach mixture.

Spoon into pie crust. Bake 40 minutes or until filling in center is set and brown on top. Let stand 10 minutes. NOTE: It will mound up when you spoon it in unless you have a very large pie crust, but it doesn't boil over.

Budget Gourmet.

Ingredients:
1 package of Budget Gourmet Entree Dish
1 operational microwave

Directions:

Peel back lower left corner of Budget Gourmet Entree, and place FACE UP in microwave. Close microwave door. Press ADD A MINUTE button on microwave four times. Go kite something. Accept a group doing a Nro adventure. Remember entree halfway through LDON adventure, and think "I can go afk for thirty seconds, no one will know.." Come back to see five people asking you why you didn't evac...

/sigh.

I gotta learn how to cook. That spanish rice looked like a good place to start.

Nuttin Fancy but here goes: (For those that may like em made from Scratch!)

Billings, MT. Pancakes

1 1/4 Cup Flour
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
1 Tablespoon Sugar
1/4 Teaspoon salt
1 Egg
1 Tablespoon cooking oil or olive oil
~ 1 Cup Milk (add to make thinner pancakes if u like thin ones)

Mix dry ingredients well in a bowl.
Beat egg.
Stir, do not beat, milk and egg into dry ingredients. Leave a little lumpy (small lumps, not big lumps). Over stirring will make them more like crepes than pancakes. Small lumps cook out. Stir in the oil. Cook at 400 setting on an electric griddle, between medium and High on a stove.
