AoA tried the "if you're on, you're going" rule .. it sounds good on paper, but it just doesn't work for some guilds. Those that didn't like the rule left, leaving us too short handed to do stuff, so we lost more people to guilds who were big enough to do things.

One of the reasons we folded AoA and joined WoV - many of the similar thought processes in our guilds, but with the man power to get things done when needed.

I very well understand that WoV has a very diverse populus, but to kill that crutch, CoE has an even bigger diversity, we have an entire team from Europe/denmark/sweden as well as and entire team from Australia(Sp?) which in the long run counts for half our raid attendance, It goes back to what i said earlier the "Want to"

I was in no way suggesting that mandatory raids be held (i.e. We are raiding on monday, be there or get deguilded) Im not saying that at all, but instead of what Lac posted, if your on, be there. Stepping up to the plate and accepting the challenge will get you big rewards in the end, I promise. If i could take each one of ya'll into the elementals, and into the plane of time, and just take a look for yourselves on what kind of stuff there is in those zones, the amazing exp capabilities alone are WORTH it!! im talking about 6% a killin elementals (or close to it) per group kill. I can tank these mobs in elementals, thats how EASY they are.

Also, the whole being in the middle part. That is just fine, but let me warn you...to be a raiding guild, ya'll got to raid more than what ya'll do while being able to accept criticism from players and officers when it is needed, while being a family guild knowing when to forgive and forget. To be in the middle will step on alot of peoples toes, I would suggest officers talking with random members in guild and getting their opinion on where they want to the overall flow of the guild to go, and then have a l337 sekret meeting with the officers/elders/leader on where they personally think the overall flow of the guild is going, then everyone get together for a mandatory guild meeting and everyone discuss it in the open.
