Level 55

I meant a lvl 65 war though...one with lots of HP. I think Kahmon is near 6K or so buffed?...and (I think) he's got ND3. We will eventually need a warrior with that much HP and the ability to /disc defensive.

Brick is working on getting up there... he has 4800 unbuffed at level 51. He's started playing again so maybe we can look forward to him. I could be off on the number of HP, but I'm pretty sure that's it.

I will use Xanamech as an example, for those of you who have never done him before, Xanamech is the PoI dragon which flags for factory, he is an upgraded event to the PoN maze event, you follow a gnome around blah blah blah, cutting to the point, Kahmon might have a small chance at tanking Xanamech, but more clerics and a def. CH rotation is needed, at least 4 clerics with patch heals in between, Xanamech will give you a real look on a much smaller picture compared to the boss mobs of PoP zones (i.e. grummus, RZ, Behe etc.) A 65 warrior will be required for these most likely or a twinked out pal/sk, with all PoP mobs a CH rotation is required (minus flags, pon maze) if CH rotation practice is needed i suggest doing kael vindi WOV only for a few rounds and work out kinks, then when ya'll feel like ya'll have the CH rotation worked out, move to Xanamech, in mean time study, do homework on PoP mobs, look at their AEs and plan accordingly gear/resist wise.
**Edit: P.S. I have over 6k hp also with CA3 the kind of HPs ya'll want are 8k+ with PoP ability as well

Since Magelo is down while they rebuild their database, here is a link to my gear from Allahkazam:

I'm half a yellow away from 64.

it looks to me that WoV is moving to something just above what a family guild does but not quite a raiding guild , maybe this is a new catagory or not i dont know, but i dont think wov will give up its base family guild atmosphere to be a hardcore raiding guild, that feel is what holds everyone together , but maybe wov can still offer that taste of high end raiding to those that want it with the help of some friends of wov , that way maybe we can be the strongest family guild and at the same time be well ,maybe not the strongest raid guild.
family guilds always lose there higher lvl s to raiding guilds and family guilds that change to raiding guilds lose people that are only looking for a family type guild, wov is looking for that middle ground

I agree with Snow on this. We are heading to some high end content and it was a heady experience for me.

This to Seamwen -- If and when we start mandating raid attendence will be the day I deguild and go my own way.

One of the problems with Xenamech and running a CH cycle on him is his ae spell can interrupt the heal cast, have to heal early enough that if something interrupts you can get the next one in, and if the raids resists aren't good as a whole you'll need to be doing patch healing on everyone there. With Malos, Tash and OOS in on him I've had up to 6 resist in a row before I've gotten him slowed before casting from underneath him. Thats along time and our tank took quite a beating from him before it finally landed.

Aye, some things may just be out of range for WoV, which isn't necessarily bad. I know mandatory raids are almost out of the question, as many people aren't flexible in their schedules (such as me). I too would be gone if WoV ever hit that point.

Agreed Mal, I like WoV as the family type guild we have  where people are able to just get in guild chat and say "Hey, anyone available to ...." and many times they can get a full group or two together right away. Sometimes they can't because other commitments have been made but recommend that it be put on the calendar.

WoV is a little too spread out around the world to mandate that peeps have to attend such-and-such a raid. If I wanted it mandated when and where I was to play I would just go back in time and live under the control of the Nazis.

By mandatory raids, it simply means, if you are in game on raid night, you are required to attend the raid, provided you have the levels to do so. In OtB for instance, that is our rule. It might sound yucky to think that you have no flexibility, but...think about it....everyone in the guild, at the same place, during the same time....doing everything together....equals family. It is an accomplishment for doing a task together, not having everyone scattered about doing their own thing. IMHO before WoV can think about much of anything at this point, some basic goals need to be estabilished and the guild as a whole needs to commit to these goals and a deadline needs to be established. Perhaps a quarter to quarter goal and the officers/elders/guildleader needs to step up to the plate in order for these goals to be met. It is a family involvement and will take some type of commitment on everyone's part to reach. Perhaps a particular night could be established for raid night and a CoH can be done for people who cannot make it from the start. Not everyone can be at a raid at start time and because of the diverse time table of WoV, we know this is near impossible. Some zones in PoP do not allow for the Mage/anchor CoH, so you will need a rogue with SoS to do many of the CoH's. This is done by the rogue/late person dueling, with the late person dying, consenting the rogue, rogue pulls corpse to raid party, dead person rezed.

There has never been any doubt in my mind about the power of WoV and it is good to see discussion of future high end work going on. Since I have been in OtB, my world has opened 10fold as to what is out there and what has to be done in order to advance to the upper tiers of PoP. Like Seamwen said, these upper zones are something else to see and experience and really make the game fun again. They challenge your abilities, teamwork, strategies, and will keep you coming back for more. I would recommend that each of you reread the guild charter, to which you will see that this is the very thing the founding members of WoV had envisioned for the guild in the very beginning.
