Wayfarers of Veeshan

I don't know if many of you know or care, but I am (after the fact) reading the whole "Sleeper" saga that took place this weekend.

Basic summary:
3 Guilds (mostly chinese) on Rallos Zek got ~180 people into the Sleeper's tomb, after 3 1/2 hours, had the sleeper to 27% and then the sleeper poofed.

Theories abound as to how/why. GM intervention? Bug? Too confusing to tell the truth.

The next day, the sleeper was back up, and the problem supposedly "fixed". Rather than give up and get PO'd at SoE they went in and did it AGAIN. 3+ hours later, Kerafym died. Zero loot.

Confusion abounds..is this the first true post-PoP serverwide dead sleeper? Is it the first dead sleeper at all?

The unofficial plan is to kill him on Veeshan Nov 23rd. Umm this is a rumor but I did hear Quizzhit (sp?) recruiting for huge event taking place on Nov. 23rd to be detailed in a private meeting.

It won't affect the release, I'm just interested to see how they account for it, if at all. As for those little zombies in ffta...I HATE those things

Veeshan did spawn Kerafyrm already, I'm pretty sure. Go to the Sleeper's Tomb area and you'll find a named dwarf there that's looking for proof that Kerafyrm awoke. He's willing to trade weapons to knight classes for Primal Weapons, as well (which other than during the Lost Treasures of Norrath Week no longer drop). I read off Allakhazam somewhere, although I'm too lazy right now to remember where, that the dwarf spawns only after Kerafyrm is dead. He was the suppliment. If Veeshan is the largest and strongest server out of all of them, then it is amazingly unlikely that the Sleeper was awoken on RZ without being awoken on Veeshan. I've heard multiple stories from various servers that talk about releasing the Sleeper then having SoE ban their guild for doing so w/o prior approval from them.

I dunno, check it out but I'm pretty sure the Sleeper on our server is long gone.

Karafyrm was already released and killed on Veeshan by me several years ago. I'm surprised none of you remember the grand celebration to took place after I single handedly pulverized the prismatic dragon.

As far as I know, the only server left to have not woken Kerafyrm is Lanys T'Val. FoH woke sleeper in an attempt to prevent anyone from farming warder loot. It was awoken on Stromm by their transplant guild, Cypher, about a month after the server came up. Also, I believe that on Povar, the sleeper was never awakened, because, at the time, devs felt the strategy for killing it fell outside those acceptable. (I could be wrong about the server for that.) The lead GM had to come in and /kill Kerafyrm. Regular GM Death Touch wasn't sufficient to kill this guy.

There is another story regarding Kerafyrm, again hazy on which server, where he escaped the tomb and wandered to Skyshrine searching for Yelinak. The script was bugged however, and the GM came in to DT it, GM couldn't, and GM died. Yes, that's right - GMs can die.

Was an interesting event, especially for a red server.
