In all seriousness even though a trip like this or anywhere for that matter will absolutly mean a definate death, to run in give it all we got to pry even one piece of "UMBER"gear off of a corpse. It will only make us one piece stronger then before, While also gaining experiance and knowledge to carry along for the next adventure.

Sometimes I am a little understanding when we all get toghter to attept to do things, alot of the times, PoNightmare on Sunday for example. We had a reasonable force but it seemed before we even started that the hedge event, which was discussed as a possiblity before hand, was shot down as an option.

Personally that was an awsome day for (got my epic ) and I did have fun in PoNightmare!

Before anyone flames me here the point im trying to make is I would like to stick my toes in the water to see how the water is.

If we never try, we will never know what to expect. you cant always go on what you read on posts and what you here from friends.

My perfect example is the first time we went to island 6 in PoSky. That was a blast. We didnt know what to expect we went for it any way and the last thing I remember was Kahmon yelling "JUMP"
Our following trip to PoSky we then owned that same island

i have to agree with ox on this ,there are alot of things to finish up before we try something this high, not that wov wont get to this kinda stuff but going to a zone to wipe on the fist mob will not help anyone.
setting goals to high can have a bad effect on future raid turn out, most of us dont mind dieing trying to get a really kool drop but need to think we can win the fight.
we are starting early to get everyone VT keys that is a very good goal as we will need them for the future.
some clerics still need there epics witch is so doable by us, there are a ton of zones we can get needed drops from without being an elem equiped guild.

Could someone please define "elemental" armor? I'm assuming you mean player forged stuff from the elemental planes... but does that include nightmare, etc?

Slightly Waterlogged Wizard

Anyone remember when we wanted to go to the Kael Arena? we took 3 groups and never made it. Now we can go with 1 group and have it so clear that we spent time waiting for repops. Back then we would not even have considered ToV, but now we have made a few trips and each one has gone better then the previous. Sure we would be whooped now, but we'd have some knowledge so we will be better prepared for future attemps. And along the way we would continue to grow & improve.

Ah, that stuff. I just wanted to make the distinction between planar armor and elemental armor. BTW, the planar armor Kahmon made for me (Night Terror Plate) is outstanding, at least for my current level, and has been a tremendous help. Thanks again Oh Mighty Godzilla of Skills!

I found this site a little time ago, which gives an exellent picture of how good elemental armor is compared to LDoN, velius, kunark etc. This link is bard armor only though which is a shame, but however it doesn't fail to provide an image of how good the elemental armor is, and I'm quite sure that armor for most other classes come in this order too.
