No Problem Llaffer was glad to help. If we just let someone come in and just take a camp we have it will get around the server, Hey you want a camp a Wayfarer has take it they will not mind, then you might as well change the Guild name from Wayfarers Of Veeshan to the Pansy's Of Veeshan cause that is what the guild will be looked upon as if they give up every camp to keep a moron from saying something about the guild. If i had the camp first ill be danged if im just going to walk away from it and if that bothers some one all i have to say, Ask me if I care !!

Just thought I'd throw out information of questionable value:

1) Primus Exodus doesn't seem do be in Guild Magic, but (with alts) their online roster shows almost 600 members, making them larger (by far) than WoV.

2) From their charter:

1. As a member of Primus Exodus you will be kind and courteous to all players in the game. You will not kill steal......or do anything that reflects negatively upon the reputation of the guild or its members.

10. You will avoid going anonymous.....

Not sure what use this is aside from satisfying my own curiosity.

I was in guild chat when this whole thing was taking place. I feel that it is very important that if we see a situation happening or about to happen we first Attempt to talk to the other person. During the Hadden camp, there was much frustration and disappointment coming across the guild chat. I remember asking if anyone had tried to discuss the issue with the guy who came in to camp Hadden after you were already sitting there. And if i can remember correctly the answer was NO. And i asked why not and the answer was "because it will do no good." Conflict resolution first starts with communication. Now please do not misunderstand me. I completely believe in honorable play and agree with you whole heartedly that this guy was KS'ing, had planned on KSing and lost. I feel that just plain ol' talking can avoid most stressful situation (not all but most) Plus if we take the first move to negotiate a situation then we as a guild look more diplomatic and if those discussions are logged as well as the KS it self it shows that we as a guild attempted the diplomatic avenue first. There was an almost ugly situation with the shawl crawl that same day. But it did not turn to ugly because there were a couple of people that decided to talk this issue thru instead of puff up and get aggressive. It does work, we saw definate proof that with communication some conflicts can be resolved with out to many folks getting ticked off.

I by no means think that WoV should be thought of as a "Pansy" guild but on the other side of that same coin i dont want us to be thought of as a hot headed guild who can not think on their feet during times like these.

I have at times gotten so completely TICKED off at some other players in this game. So much so that Mckorr has told me to just log for a while before you say or do something you will regret. We all are human. We all get ticked and that is ok and expected. But what stands us apart from those other guilds who are jerks, is how we handle ourselves in the tight spot.

I have to agree with Madessa about not getting walked all over on a camp, only she is far nicer than I am cause I have and always will log in another character, and or cause death and meyhem to who tries taking one from me. Sorry but I have limited playing time and I don't put up with jerks, and some guilds do seem to go out of their way to ks us.

Oh, also, since one of the requirements to join their guild is that you must already own an Enduring Breath item, I'm not surprised that Hadden is targeted by them for either bringing in friends/family or to upgrade from the Kerran Fishing Spear they used to get in .

But, be that as it may, Kaijene really does have it right. Just a simple "Hi, how ya doing? I'm doing the long boring camp of Hadden, myself. Were you hoping to hunt him today?" is an excellent opening. It's a trifle blunt, but not terribly confrontational. I've found that potential KSers are thrown off by both the forwardness and the honest questioning of why they are standing so dangerously close to your camp.
But once the ice is broken, unless they are dead-set on KSing, it often ends like this: "I'll give you a tell in game as soon as I loot the <insert desired item>, so I can handoff the camp to you, if you'd like".
