I used to work with the CRAY at Ohio State (Waaay back), and remember during the initial tour of the facility that they gave us a run-down on how the CRAY used FLUID-COOLED (note, *not* WATER-COOLED) processors. We got to see the whole thing...sort of a jelly-like substance, which flowed easily, but had the one important property of being ELECTRICALLY NON-CONDUCTIVE. So it didn't carry a charge, and it was flowing all the time to take the heat away. Filling your PC with water (electrically conducting) and not give the hot water anywhere to flow (boiling it) is not a "cooling method". That post is either a fake, the result of a total moron, or a really dangerous prank someone played on that moron. Drex |
