Hello Everyone!

As you can tell by my signature block, all of my toons but one have surnames. My gnome alchemist Aegad (pronounced "Egad!") is the only one that doesn't have a designated surname just yet.

I'm starting this thread to see if any of you have a nifty idea for a surname for that little guy. Gnome. Whatever. I called him Aegad because that always seems like a good thing for a slightly mad genius who plays with alchemical solutions and sometimes blows himself up. I picked the Jester's Court with malice aforethought--I'm hoping to give Aegad a humorous last name!

Let's see what you've got. :)

I'll think on it, but I bet Drexxell or Dorann can come up with something Gnomealicious.

Hmmm... Thanks guys, some of those have good potential. :)

One I've been pondering myself is "Watson" ... you know, Sherlock Holmes would always say, "Egad, Watson!" or somesuch. /shrug

Yeah, this is why I asked for help. HAR!

Hmmm. Not only is Aegad an Alchemist (tradeskill class) but he's also a Conjuror (adventuring class) -- the class that corresponds to the Magician class in EQ1, summoning elemental pets and all that. Elementally, my dear Watson! Har! Still thinking on this one; I got too cute with the first name, is making it hard to find a surname that works.

I ended up gnaming him "Aegad Bottlebreaker, the Loyal"*. Somewhat less humorous than I had hoped for, but appropriate for him. (In EQ2 tradeskilling, if you miss a reaction event the tradeskill can cause you damage. I like to visualize that in Aegad's case as breaking a beaker, bottle or vial and getting burned by the splashing alchemical solutions. It burns! It burns!)

Oh hey--post 100! DING! :woot:

* The suffix title "the Loyal" is awarded when you've played for a year. Like the EQ1 Veteran awards, that year is measured by how much of the game you've payed for. All of my toons have up to their 18 month awards, lol. Some of them are XP potions for adventuring and tradeskilling, others are clicky fireworks, others are house items ... like a PIRATE FLAG and "Your Future Tombstone."
