Drexx, I was a hobby writer once too. If these guys say you are good, then you very likely are. Every writer has many stages in his craft...some take it to the moon; some use it for self-expression and the enjoyment of friends. You may not want to take it any further, but you will always always have a companion who won't let you down (hint: your Muse
). I haven't had a chance to read your stuff yet, but I will.
If there are any fantasy writers (or readers) among you, you may be interested in my writing site, and especially my forum, where writers get together, schmooze, offer excerpts of their writing for pleasure and for critiquing. When I say writers, I mean anyone who writes with a view to having other people read it. There are no fees involved to join or to participate in writing and critiquing.
FantasyFic is specifically oriented to fantasy writers and readers, but there are tips there for writers of all kinds of fiction. And there is a lot of encouragement and help for beginning/emerging writers. Anyhow, you are welcome to join.
