To become a probationary member, we ask that you register on our forum and make a post under the section.
At the end of 60 days, the officers will vote on your membership. This vote can have three outcomes:
1) Your probationary tag will be removed and you will become a full member; 2) For lack of enough feedback about your play style, your probationary tag will be extended for two weeks while we seek further input; or 3) Your membership will be terminated and your guild tag removed.
You will be notified of the result of the vote.
Once you have received your probationary membership, you will be able to see everything on the forum with the exception of the Applicant Input Forum. This forum has a thread for each applicant, and its purpose is for existing members to post input on each potential Wayfarer. It is to your benefit to ask those you group with to make posts about you so the officers will have information when it's time to vote.
If you are away from the game for a period of time it's very important that you let us know your status. About to be deployed? Travel a lot for business? Keep us in the loop so we don't mistake your absence for lack of interest.
At any time, we do not want an unguilded member (whether friend or family member) to play your character. Wayfarers' most valuable possession is our reputation, and we need to know who is wearing our guild tag.
We ask that you not use "Anonymous" while you're a probationary member. If you want to hide your class, you can use the /role command which will still leave the guild name visible.
If there are other questions about the process, please PM any officer or send us a tell in game.
Finally, these forums are WoV’s most important communication tool, and it is in your best interest to visit here frequently. This is even more important during your probationary period.
