I wanted to address Kith's question about being a MT.
Being a MT is all about holding aggro within your group, basically the warrior's job is to take the beating because for the casters, robes are a poor excuse for good plate armor
The problem is that warriors don't deal a lot of dmg compared to other melee, this is offsetted by the taunt skill, but it isn't always enough.
1. you need fast weaps. low delay weaps are worth their weight in plat,
it's ok that most don't have garbage for dmg, we aren't there to deal
the dmg. a lammy would be a good example 9/19. also, you'll find
weaps that proc also provide good aggro aka frostbringer if you have
the 5k lol.
2. armor, armor, armor. and you'll find this is the most difficult aspect of
being a warrior. it's very expensive to upgrade your armor, I still have
many upgrades to go through myself. but the higher the ac, the more
dmg you can take and the happier your clerics are.
This should get you going on your way as a career warrior, of course there are many other things to consider while tanking, such as how to time your slam/bashes and whether you should pull for your group or not.
I'm still learning as I'm going along, but it's been a long 54 lvls and so I hope this info will help.
