Wayfarers of Veeshan

I'm posting this on behalf of Thunderhart...

For a few months now, every time any character of his enters
Nektulos Forest, that character freezes. The game kicks him
out, and he not only can't use that zone, but can't access
that character AT ALL until a GM comes along and "un-sticks"
the character from limbo (and, as you all know, finding a GM
can sometimes take hours to days). This has happened to 4 of
his diff't characters over the last few months, including
a newly created dark elf zoning in from Neriak, so it's been
an issue with Lava, Neriak and EC zone in's to Nek.

Has anyone else ever encountered this problem, either with
this particular zone, another zone, or anything similar enough
that might shed light on how to fix this besides buying him a
new computer?

I had a similar problem with shadowhaven and great divide. I went into myh eq directory and deleted all files associated with those zones and let them re-download. This would fix the problem for a while, but eventually it would happen again. It has not happened in a while now, although I'm not really sure why...hehe. Other than that I have heard of some issues with people who have ATI video cards lately...something with the new drivers and directx not getting along.
