Wayfarers of Veeshan

Is anybody else having trouble with eqim? It crashes every time I try to run it. The only way I can use it is to reinstall, then it's good until I shut it down and try to use it again.

I used it for awhile; I had all my friends set up under Alley's "account." Then it started crashing whenever I tried to log Alley on, so I set everything up under Cintarra. It's working for now . . .

Of course ... everyone has probs with EQIM. It's not a very robust program at all. There are many instability issues that they won't or can't address with it.

I've noticed that if I've logged into EQIM with Tanliel, that when I log Tan actually into EQ, EQIM crashes. Even though it's just connected to the "char server" it can't handle that you're logged into more than one place with the same account. Dont know if that's an EQIM issue, or a more exploitable hole in the whole of the VI/Sony system.

It loses it's "database" VERY frequently, etc, etc.

I dont use it unless I get dropped / LD'd / whatever, to let someone know I'm coming back in (usually only if it's gonna take a while).

Did yall really expect something worthwhile from Sony since they made it free cuz all of yall were so good & bought PoP?...

And sometimes the sounds work and sometimes it just sits there silently, sulking.

it has sound??!!

Yes, when it's working properly it has a subtle little chime when someone on your friends list logs on or when you have an incoming message.

I think they just found out about Alley and that's why it crashes now ..... it's true ... it's true.
