Wayfarers of Veeshan

Does anyone know how to reactivate an account that has been inactive for about two weeks? A good RL friend of mine is quitting EQ and has given me their account, but I can't seem to get it set-up on my computer due to it being inactive. I have a couple of ideas about what it may be but if anyone has an answer, please let me know.

1) Is it possible that I need the origional account keys from the origional cd's used to create the account?

2) do I need my friend to reactiviate the account and then I can go in and change the info?

3) Or am I just going to have to scrap the whole idea?

I really want to get the account working because there is a 53 half-elf paladin on the account that I want to be able to use for high end guild hunts and raids. It will also allow me to handle item and plat transfers between my chars much more easily. Please let me know if you can help!

Berrin,
When the first screen comes up, go to the Account button.
After that there is a CHANGE ACCOUNT button, click that one.
You'll need to login to THAT account (not yours) to change it.
From there, EDIT BILLING ... and put in your info.

Once that's done it should all be setup and ready to go!

Problem is, the account is inactive, I.E. when you type the information into the login screen, it gives you the message that the account is inactive. I cannot access the billing information that way.

I tried setting up a new account and putting all of the information in but it tells me that the station name is already taken. I am baffled. Not sure if I need to contact Sony/EverQuest directly and talk to their accounts department and see if they can reactivate the account for me....

Have your friend reactivate the account then you change the information to yourself.

Got the account reactivated now and I just checked out the chars. Got myself a 53 paladin, 40 rogue and 28 cleric now, hehe. I feel like I am cheating
