Okay, so even though I like the look of my new graphics with this card, I need to upgrade to a new one. Well, thanks all for the help. I am going to get the new card tomorrow and put it in, hopefully that helps. |

Just one more thought on this, would putting in my old vid card (Voodoo3 3000) and seeing if that worked, answer this question of whether or not it is the vid card? Just a thought from my end. |

Yes it just might! That is a different chipset. Give it a shot. Idont know how well the Voodoo will handle as I never fowllowed that line. |

BTW unless VI changed it ATI is not listed as a supported chipset. That is what led me to try to change from ATI to Nvidia. Her setup with a ATI card was workin until the luclin expansion. That disabled her access. That is when i found the issue with ATI cards. |

Hmm, you know what is sad, that is when I noticed the problem, when I upgraded to the luclin expansion! |

No need to be sorry! I am glad I am figuring this all out! I switched to my old card for the time being and I will see if this helps. Dropped from 64Mb of vid card mem to 16Mb. I'll try it out tonight when I log on! |

Im sorry to say but i really dont think the 16mb card will cut it since u have upgraded to Luclin,as the 16mb card was prob at its limits with Kunark & Velious. Also ur card was made by 3dfx,doesnt support dirx 8, & the co. that made those cards has not been in biz for over a year now, so u wont have any driver updates & might not even be able to find the best/current drivers for that card. Get a 64mb GF2 or Gf3 MMX 400 card their resonably priced right now or a GF4 TI 4200 is also good priced right now & the GF4 is already DirectX8 ready. Also if you dont have DirectX8.1 on ur machine you'll need to DL that from MS DL site as Luclin will not work without it. |

Okies, got my issue resolved! I did not know that my router was designed to block an excess of ports. EQ uses more than my router waas willing to allow and therefore I was being disconnected by my router. I have since corrected the problem (any who encouter the same issue, PM me and I will tell you how to do it). Now I can play uninterupted! I am still working on the vid card issue. My 16Mb Voodoo3 worked today when I played, quite well actually. I am not sure if I am going to try and get the Radeon to work again or just buy a new card. Thanks for all the help guys! |
