Anyone tried this or know anything about it? It's supposed to maximize your resources for playing EQ without compromising the game . . . or something like that. |

It came up and was briefly discussed as a recommendation in I downloaded it but never got up the nerve to install it. Sorry, that's the extent of my input. |

I installed it and used it for a few days. I did notice a difference when I switching back to windows but it was buggy to the point of not really being worth it. I use (and have for years now) a program called Memturbo (http://www.memturbo.com/). It's not exactly the same as the playnice app but it's helpful, and not just for Everquest. |

memturbo does changes to how the OS deals with RAM overall. As Z said, not just for EQ. And would be the safer alternative to use. PlayNice actually changes the runtime in-memory execuatable real-time, with is against EULA (and if you use it anyway, needs to be updated with every patch). |
