Try downloading the 53.03 drivers and install them. Hopefully that will get you back in the game.
There will be a patch 3am PST Thursday morning that is supposed to fix this mess....

Well, after logging back in following a 2nd lockup of EQ, I locked up a 3rd time...yuck. I need a bit of help here. Ok, so dx9 is required now, and the first time since the change I try to log into EQ. I got a nifty little message telling me I have a GeForce2 32mb and should download new drivers (version 5664). I choose to ignore the message for the moment, log in for about 15 minutes no problem everything works fine. I go to the website it gives me, download, and reboot. I log into EQ, looks ok...then I lock up messing with my mp3 player. Restart, and lockup again once in game. I restart....this time when I log in the little nifty window tells me I have some version of a GeForce4 (which I definitely dont) and need new drivers. Um....ok....ignore it for now and log in. Lock up once again about 1 minute after getting in. And here I am. Everything in dxdiag works fine, and I think (but am not positive) the date of my driver changed....its not 3/3/04, pretty recent. So I dont know what the deal is, but I dont want the little window making me think I have the wrong drivers to come up any more, and I especially dont want it to tell me I have a video card that I dont actually have. Just did a search for '5664, geforce2' on google...found one on 3dchipset.com but it hasnt passed the testing, and Im afraid to install lol. Any thoughts/suggestions? I'm too frustrated to mess with it now, so will check in tomorrow. Thanks. ps...mp3 player was running every time I locked up, and changing songs actually caused the lockup twice, but the vid card/driver messages I'm getting following the patcher make me think that isnt it. Much appreciated, hope to be in game soon. |

Those are the ones I had before, when EQ told me to get new ones. Will try reinstalling them when I get home. |

You can check the box that says "dont display this again" on that little box. I'd roll back to the 5303 drivers and see what happens with this new patch. |
