This made my life much easier in everquest. Enjoy :)

Install ACT (Application Compatibility Toolkit) from either the Windows XP CD, located in the Support\Tools Directory, or it can be downloaded from the following link:

http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... t30pkg.exe

Install and run the compatability tool. On the left you'll see a list of applications. Find everquest and click it. In the right window will appear a list of eq-related applications. Right-click the top one and select "Diable Entry". You should now be able to alt-tab in and out of everquest without having to do all that alt-shift-r garbage :)

edit: This is completely legit as the inablility to alt-tab is a limitation of winxp and not everquest

On the third try I finally got a good connection (88 m/sec) and downloaded the package.
