Post subject:  Need help with Txc files,,, I think
I have just uploaded ldon and when i zone into the dungeons all of the characters are humans and many of the items I can not even see, Like where to zone out. If I want to leave the zone i have to either die or use a gate potion. I have been told that if i delete all my *.txc files that this would eliminate the problem. I have gone to search files and folders adn typed in *.txc but it says I do not have any files like that which I find amazing. I use Windows XP2000, if anyone has any suggestions for how to fix this let me know please. Thanks in advance for help. :cry:

Did you download the LDoN, or install it from CD?

In either case, you want to have LDoN checked in the advanced patcher settings so if any updates are put out for LDoN zones, you will get them.

My initial guess is that you installed from CD, it didn't have a complete set of files, and you don't have patcher set to download LDoN files, so it is not getting updates. So you see them as humans rather than their true models.

Llaffer, I downloaded it online and have been getting updates almost daily. when the last game update came out Yeska or whatever it is called I went thru the same thing and ended up having to reload the base game and all the expansions, which took hours. I was hoping to avoid that this time lol. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks Llaffer went into advanced settings and found a boat load of foles to be downloaded . I wont know till I go back to ldon if it worked but i feel better about the extra files showing up.. Thanks again

If you don't have any .txc files in your Everquest directory it means you don't have texture caching turned on, and hence that is not your problem. Sorry guy, it was my best guess.

I forgot to mention this in my first post, but if you have completely wrong models, it isn't a .txc problem.

You know it is if you have the right models but wrong colors.

I wont know till i go back in dungeon if its fixed but it downloaded files for 10 minutes with a cable modem, so I figure I might have it fixed :),,, thanks for all the suggestions
