For those of you using ZoneAlarm as a firewall program, be aware that the program pops up a window asking if you want to upgrade to a new version. This popup knocked me out of EQ twice last night and locked down my computer. There is a button in the console of the program itself that says "check for upgrades now." I did do the upgrade (still free/shareware) and I hope this will prevent any future popups.

Nope it won't. You have to go into the control panel and disable the box that controls the popup. In the version I have it is under the heading of overview

Nuther one that keeps doin that to me is McAfee! Thanks for the info on Zone Alarm altho I have more problems with the Pop Up windows after a patch. They are the ones asking if you want the EQclient to be authorized to access the network. Happens everytime the version of eqclient and eqgame.exe changes. Doesn't kick me out, just freezes up the client and I have to log out, then back into Windows then open the control panel for Zone Alarm and recheck it as authorized. Often times, I just deactivate Zone Alarm before starting the game. (Lazy man fix)
