Last night I tried to log in and got the message "You already have a character in game...". I about had a heart attack that I had been password-hacked, but a phone call to Thunderhart assured me that none of my 8 characters were in game.
I went to the tech support chat room and lo-and-behold, there's about a dozen other folks having the same trouble. And one GM. For every 1 person he'd try to help, 2 more would come in. He was swamped and was NOT helping people in the order they came in, but rather picking them off semi-alphabetically...so folks started changing their chat-room names to "Aaaaaasomething". It was a nightmare. Even AFTER he'd "help" people, he would tell them "ok, it's fixed, you need to wait about 30-45 minutes and then log in again".
Not "ok, you're good, give it *one minute*". It was "try again in 30-45 minutes".
This was after most of us sat in that room, ignored for about 45-60 minutes already, wondering if the GM would address us and in what order. He consistently ignored all chat, including pleas to actually address the "in order" concern and only spoke about 3 things, and only to the person he chose to pay attention to:
1) Ok, character-so-and-so, what's your issue?
2) Ok, character-so-and-so, thank you for the info
3) Ok, character-so-and-so, try to log in after 30-45 minutes
As for me, an hour passed and then I was given responses 1 and 2....#3 never came...and I was patently ignored on it...I ended up wasting 2 hours last night with a LOT of other frustrated people.
Anyway, just heads up if this hasn't been fixed today that it seems to be blossoming into a really nice headache.
