Just got a new upgraded system (its a mutt), and tried reinstalling EQ and am getting an error stating I'm missing "d3dx9_30.dll". Is there a safe location on the net to download just that file?...I have current DirectX version and drivers. Usually when I re-install EQ, it gives me a prompt at the end to install the correct version of DirectX, however my computer won't read the disc now (even though the disc looks perfect), so had to resort back to my EQ Platinum discs, which took forever to download the rest online. So..stuck there..any thoughts?

The file in question is the main Dynamic Link Library for Directx. You can download the entire DX9 or 10 files from Microsofts website for free.

I had to do the same thing when I reinstalled recently. I thought I had directX 10 so I shouldn't need anything, but I went ahead and installed directX 9 as well and it worked fine after that. Just search for DirectX on the microsoft web page.

EQ does not use DirectX10.

Each of the DirectX versions are completely separate.
