Wayfarers of Veeshan

The client crash has been happening since the last major patch. EQ's not really crashing for me any more or less often, it's just that now I get a message when it does. Why hate Sony? Why not hate the person that wrote the driver that's conflicting with Sony's program? Why not hate Microsoft for making XP so touchy?

Quick idea I just remembered of a problem just like this that came and went.

New intel CPU's with hyperthreading seem to have problem with EQ, not sure if anyone has checked this out but friend of mine was having same problems of disconnect etc and tried everything with his new computer until he finally turned off the hyperthreading in BIOS. Apparently after this his machine runs just fine.

Dorann, I will remember this tip as well if it crops up. However, as a pretty much idiot when it comes to the guts of a computer, I have no idea how to "turn off hyperthreading in my BIOS" Can you explain how that is done?

Bios is pretty simple in that most settings are multiple choice and if you do anything really bad u can always load defaults and start over. I didn't see exactly how he turned off his hyperthreading but would guess its in advanced chipset settings. Someone might be better able to give you a walk through its something I can do but not really explain all that clearly.

Yeah... great, now he is up and running. I will never be rid of him. Little gnomes under foot all the time. Can't take a real step for fear of treading on his little toes. Have to slow WAAAAAAY down so he can keep up. Heck He even needs a book to sit up at the table so he can eat. Sheesh... Last time he was out with us they brought us a KIDS menu at the tavern. They said... isn't your son a little umm... bald for his age? Are you sure he is old enough for an ale? It was embarrasing.
