Avast! I'm not quite done with this room, but I wanted to show off some of the fun you can have with building and decorating in EQ2.
The entryway. Note the bookshelf (which now has many more books on it ... I need a bigger one) and the Ale-stained banner of gathering. Oh yeah. AND THE PIRATE FLAG OVER THE DOORWAY! ARRRRRRRR!
EQ2 mirrors are really cool. As long as you're not on the lowest graphics settings ... they actually reflect you and the room behind you! You can see the Frostfell swag section of the room in behind Gealaen.
A while back I posted my "old" shrine to Tunare in my inn room. Here's the new one!
This is a staircase of floating leaves that takes you up to the shrine. The wall is decorated with weapons captured in Tunare's honor from many foes. (They're the rewards of the "Legend and Lore" quests in EQ2, which give you those house items and a special attack that works on additional creature races as you complete their quest.)
Here's a view of the shrine from the ground level. Beneath the shrine is a mirror that doesn't reflect anything that is or was a vampire (one of the rewards from the Halloween event where you get turned into a vampire, and then get better, lol). Oh hey, I didn't post the pic of the final fight in that Halloween (Nights of the Dead) event! You have to fight an NPC version of yourself:
I had a lot of fun with the item resizing tool in EQ2 when I built this shrine. The candles are all very basic items made as part of the newbie crafting tutorial (I have several crafting toons, one candle each) that have been resized to make the candle perimiter of the shrine. The altar of Tunare has an offering bowl (Gods; go figure) on it--I put a small tree in it.
The big leaf floor is the same item as the steps (a leaf-shaped "rug") that I sized waaaay up to make the platform.
I can't wait to finish (it'll be a while) this room so I can post it on the EQ2 Norrathian Homeshow ().
