Ok folks...I'm gonna play a Shaman from level 1. Tali is gonna join as a Paladin partner. If it sucks, we'll try again in about 20 levels.

So, saying that, what race would YOU take if you had a fresh new Shaman to create?

I'm leaning toward Troll, but I'd love to hear opinions

Actually, I will probably make up my mind on the fly tonight, but I like that
both Iksar and Troll have natural regen...and Iksar have forage as a bonus,
though Trolls have pretty high stamina relative to Iksar.

It's all coming down to how I'll use cannibalize I think....

Anyway, just like chatting about it...I may pick Froglok if I've had enough to drink!

I made a barbarian shaman but I really don't think race matters at all.

I think everyone can train in forage now, also, a skill that was added fairly recently. I didn't read up on it because Alley already has it.

Yeah race really matters almost naught, especially in the end game. Even in early levels, the Defiant gear makes stat differences pretty negligible. What does matter is appearance. This is your avatar, your appearance to others, as well as yourself, for as long as you play.

To this day, I mourn making Medaiin a halfling - because there are a million halfling druids. A human druid would have been more fun, I think in retrospect. Same with Rippuku, it seems there are a million vah shir beastlords! I think if I could change it, I would try Barbarian instead.

Ogre, front stun immunity. All other stats can be overcome with gear. I can't see it making a huge difference, but you never know when it might let you get off that last spell you need to win the fight.

Make a female, name her Ogre Winfry.

Picked Troll. In the end, you're right...the choice doesn't matter
much. Worked him up to 10th level in 2 long nights in the tutorial, and
