Before Omens introduced epic 1.5's there was no use for the elemental clay so nobody saved them. As soon as they had a use there was no supply and they were selling as high as 20K each. This price quickly plummeted as people began to save them. Now they are easily found in the bazaar for under 100pp and I don't even bother to pick them off NPC vendors when I see them for 13pp. If you want to explore the hole for where they drop to add a section to your guide thats cool. I suggest mentioning at the top though to keep an eye out for them to save time later on.
