Wayfarers of Veeshan

If is intentional and isn't reversed my EQ days (what few I have) are done. 90% of the time I play is spent soloing using charm. I'm still hoping this is just an unfortunate oversight caused by something else they were messing with.

Ack. I hope it isn't true. I think the only thing I ever charmed in my life was a puma in North Ro, but I know a lot of folks who use charm as one of their main tools for playing.

I was reading SoE forums last night, and it seems as though the new expansion had a lot of unintended effects. Let's hope this is one of them.

Not intending to hijack the thread but.... You can no longer modify the maps for the new zones because the patcher will download the maps all over again and overwrite the ones you added lables to.

According to posts about this on the SoE forum, a lot of chanters are charming with good and expected results. Seems like some druids are affected still.

Taken from a post on TheRunes.net, a sony rep responded:

"The rules are different in The Devastation and Stronghold of Rage. There is indeed a special setup there that will not allow credit to go to players if they did not do most of the damage to the NPC. That was done to prevent easy kills. Obviously it will impact charm and other such tactics in that zone. I'm sorry about that, but not all zones will be the best zones for all tactics.

This should not be affecting any other zones. If it is, send me an email with some very specific details and I'll look into it.

So that makes me feel optimistic that they're fixing the issue of these occurrences in other zones.
