Wayfarers of Veeshan

i hear there are rumors of eq1 servers merging... they stated on castersrealm there was a steady return of members to eq1 recently and they are in process of determining the appropriate action .. would be really wierd to see prexus.allegretta instead of veeshan.allegretta

Rumors are exactly that ... if you dont see any information on the EQLive announcements or posts by EQLive CSRs ... then take what you 'hear' with a salt lick, not just a grain.

The PvP servers merged, but as has been stated many times by many people, those servers never had the population of a non-PvP server anyway. I imagine that the 4 servers merged are maybe now at a regular server population.

ok tan .. you also just reminded me to feed my fathers horses today (they love them salt licks) =P

I haven't seen any recent server population numbers, but I would think we would be low on the list since Veeshan has numerous Japanese guilds and has historically been one of the more populous servers.

yes i dont really forsee any mergers for us jstu yet but there were some servers that i played on with smoe rl friends such as bertoxx and they were absolutely empty while veeshan was increbily busy so i know those will probably see the differences

Edit~ of course they could get a large server and merge a small one into it becuase im sure that the rolyplay server was huge ..

Edit Brell not bertoxx never been to bertoxx i spent the last hour torying to remember which one it was lol

Bristlebane though is also as populous as Veeshan. It's just as old.

I won't be surpised if Veeshan gets merged in with another smaller populated server once the dust settles from the 2nd set of mergers (Zek being the first).

Server Merges


On March 22, 2005, we will begin the process of merging some of the EverQuest servers. As we have seen from the recent success of the Zek merger, combining some of the EQ worlds is beneficial for players?Eexperience. In fact, we have been pleasantly surprised to find that the new Zek server now has a higher population than the four combined servers had prior to that merger. We hope that by merging some of our lower population servers with a higher population server, we will continue to enhance your gameplay experience

Merging Servers

On March 22nd, Antonius Bayle will merge with Kane Bayle and will retain the name Antonius Bayle.

On March 23rd, Bristlebane will merge with Solusek Ro and will retain the name Bristlebane.

We understand that server identity is important to our customers and we will be integrating server titles into the title system to allow you to display your server of origin, should you desire to do so.
