Wayfarers of Veeshan

Could anyone be of any assisstance i have tried over and over again to install the maps for the zones. I know im doing something wrong just can't figure out what. Im unzipping the files from EQ atlas and im putting them in to the map folder (guess it's the right folder), and it's just not working. Any help at all would much appreciated

can those be installed? I thought the way those worked was you hit the back space key.... then minimized the blank map and while you were running about the zone, you automatically marked the map for the areas that you had already been.

Is that the maps you were talking about?

If you go to EQAtlas, you can down load a zipped file of all the maps that supposedly you can unzip into your maps folder. I keep meaning to do it but haven't tried it yet. If you don't do that, you can create your own from the map thingy in EQ. That sounds like how I would do it, Loull.

Map thingy? Is that an EQ approved name?

It's a technical term. . . professional druid jargon. If you were a true member of the Lewis and Clark Society, Sacagawea division, you would know that.

They don't let Rangers in that division /pout

We only get to be in the Mickey Mouse Division. We get to go on some really cool field trips to a place called Disney Land, but we always have to have at least one responsible adult with us at all times.

Oops...Sorry Loull. I was supposed to post this last night. You can d/l the maps from http://aleron.dl.sourceforge.net/source ... ormaps.zip
It will contain a ton of text files which should be placed in your c:\program files\everquest\maps folder. Just put em there and you should be good to go. If a map isn't working right try zooming out and/or turning off the height filter.

When did we get a map feature for in-game? I must have missed that one because I had not heard of it till now.

Lynia, it's part of the Legacy of Ykesha expansion, along with a bunch of other cool utilities, not the least of which is doubled bank space for each character.

ok iam so confused i got jagged pine map to work but cant get butcher block an iceclad to work not sure the problem

Make sure you are zoomed out and that the height filter is turned off if you haven't already done so

i have done height filters an zoomed out still not working got jagged pine to work but went back few days ago now jp maps doent work so confuesed

ive found sometimes the maps work and sometimes they dont. dunno what the problem is but its not just you loull. i really love it when they do tho, i cant find anything visually. just gimme the loc and im right there.

there are certain zones (I don't know which) that you have to get a special parchment to be able to read the map.
