I havent played EQ in quite awhile now, because Eq luster has faded for me and also how the playerbase (me being one of those) on SWG got treated. It has pretty much tainted my interest in any game that SoE has any part of.

I'm glad to see all of the accomplishments / strides that WoV has made and wish yall continued success in all that yall do.

I also wanted to let yall know that i'll be giving Vanguard:SoH a try and would like to know if any of yall will be also. We can get together maybe and see if we can get some groupage going.

Speaking solely for myself, I have no plans to leave EQ any time soon. :)

Hi Shogi! I'm not sure what that soh thing is.

Vangaurd SOH is a MMORPG due out sometime this summer, the design team consists of old EQ design folk along with a bunch of others from various exsisting games. The info out about it at the moment looks really promising it may be to MMORPGS now what EQ was back in 99 and could be EQ's most dangerous competition since they started. They are currently in Beta 1 and plans are to go as far as Beta 4 if need be to make sure when they launch the product is ready.

I have alot of time invested in EQ and many friends and plan on playing the game well into the future if at all possible but I plan on giving this game a try and if its really good really different and they offer some real support/customer service I may decide to make it my new home. I've tried many games that have come out and have always come back to EQ because as much as there are many things I dislike about it I still think it's the best and add the fact most of my friends are here as well any new game will have to really be something for me to completely leave the EQ world.

There's one thing about Vanguard that I'm standing vigilant about: they are promising a BUG-FREE release! This is quite a fantastic claim, and I'm very curious to see if they succeed or not.

It's also impossible. With the complexity of any program these days, bug free is just simply NOT possible.

Glad to hear from you Shogi . I've been out of gaming for a bit myself as well. I was really getting back inot EQ about 6 months back, but RL has taken priority. Thinking of starting up WoW again soon. /shrug. I'll be back one of these days. I'll check out Vanguard.

SoH is being made by Sigil. And yes Brad McQuaid one of the founding makers of EQ from a company he was a partner in called Verant, is one of the owners of Sigil. The game is being promoted as being immersive content, that will encompass 3 different "spheres" of gameplay. The spheres will be Adventuring (Combat), Tradeskilling (Artisans), and Politics. Guilds/Guildmembers will be able to own & operate their own villages, guildhall, and homes. This sounds like it can be a alot of fun to be had by all types of players, type of game.
