I'll probably try out the EQ2 free month just to look at all the pretty graphics. But as it currently stands, I have 2 characters I've built into the 50's and one into the 60's. I don't think I'll be abandoning that sort of time investment any time soon. Besides, I can't leave EQ until I have accomplished my life's mission. To be standing as emperor over all of Norrath with Allegretta and Perisai kneeling before my throne.

I think several of us by way of circumstances will not be able to make the change to EQ2 at all unless we were REALLY willing to dish up the cash. My computer has a difficult enough time trying to zone into PoK (I'm not even going to bother trying to zone into the bazaar in fear that my char will get stuck and my system will crash, as it does on occasion from the number of people in PoK) and I can't even play games on it that I'd like to try playing such as Warcraft III and Beta Test , (which looks absolutely fantastic btw) unless I decide to cough up a ton of cash and upgrade my RAM, video card, disk space, etc etc etc (or just buy a whole new computer). Other than that, I'm with the others that even if I could switch, I wouldn't bother. I'm not interested in becoming an 'uber' player in EQ2 and there's still so much in EQ1 that I want to do and have invested time into.

The best part of EQ2 is that the story goes that Luclin got blown up! That means all the furballs from Shar Vhal got a free one way ticket to the big scratching post in the sky! Muahahahahahaha! I wonder if it rained cats that day...
